BNYS Course Fees in Karnataka Banner

Before I give you a complete insight into BNYS course fees in Karnataka, I would like to introduce myself.

I am Vishnu Nambiar, a career counselor and career blogger, with more than 12 years of experience in the education industry. I mainly research different courses, and colleges and guide students to the best suitable for them.

In this article, I will be giving you a clear idea about the BNYS fee structure in Karnataka.

There are two types of colleges in Karnataka, that is, Government and Private Naturopathy colleges. You might be thinking there are many naturopathy colleges in Karnataka.

No, there are only 9 naturopathy colleges in Karnataka, out of which one is a Government BNYS college.

So, first I will tell you about the fee structure, then about admission procedures and how to choose the best college for you.

The reason I included a section for choosing the best college, is because I read an article on the internet that says, the 2nd major reason for career failure is because of studying in the wrong college.

BNYS Fee Structure in Karnataka

Government College Fees

As I told you there is only 1 government naturopathy college in Karnataka, which is situated in Mysore. And the college charges you a fee of Rs.25,000 per year. Admission to this college is only possible for students of Karnataka, under these fees.

BNYS Private College Fees in Karnataka

The fees for BNYS in private colleges in Karnataka range from Rs.1.25 lakhs to Rs.2.25 lakhs per year. These are just the tuition fees charged by the colleges.

Apart from these fees, the college also charges for hostel and food. A few naturopathy colleges also charge extra for uniforms, transportation, etc.

I had visited all the naturopathy colleges in Karnataka and I feel only 2 colleges are worth studying. I will explain about the colleges which I recommend in the coming sections.

If you are looking for the best college, with great academics, infrastructure, and clinicals, then the total fees for the whole course will be around Rs.10 lakhs for the total course including hostel, food, and extra charges.

BNYS Admission Procedure in Karnataka

There are two modes of admission procedures in Karnataka. One is through the CET quota in which the seat will be allotted through the counseling conducted by KEA or Karnataka Examination Authority.

Students who are from Karnataka will only be eligible for the CET quota seats.

The second option is direct admission through management quota. For that, you have to submit the original documents for verification in college.

After the verification, the candidate must pay the balance of tuition fees. After which the candidate will be provided with an admission letter.

How to Choose a Good BNYS College?

There are many factors to keep in mind while choosing a good naturopathy college. It is a matter of your career and future profession and it must be carefully chosen.

1. Hospital – Naturopathy & General

The college must have an attached naturopathy hospital with good patient exposure. Yes, naturopathy is a course that deals mainly with diet, yoga, and change of lifestyle.

If the college is having an attached medical college or general hospital, that is well and good. As they will be having all the best laboratory facilities. The reason is that in the first and second year, you have to learn subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, etc which even MBBS students have to learn.

2. Faculties & Academics

The college must have full-time faculties who are able to guide you to the best in the field. The reason why I recommend colleges with the best faculties is that, because BNYS is not just a theory-based course, it is more of a clinical course.

3. Location

I am not talking about ease of transportation. The location of the college must be remote and good if the college is located in a tourist place.

Reason? Because most of the patients who are opting for naturopathy treatments are from different parts of the world. Local patients will be less than 10% and 90% of the patients will be from other parts. For naturopathy treatments, patients always look for a nature-related place where they are able to peacefully stay during the treatment period.

4. Affordability

I would never suggest you to go the colleges with the lowest fees. Vice-versa, I won’t recommend you opt for colleges that are very costly. You must always keep in mind the Return on Investment when you are spending money on your education.

These are the important, but very few things that I keep in mind while counseling the students for the BNYS course.
