40% for most backward classes and denotified communities.
35% for scheduled caste, scheduled caste (Arunthathiyar), scheduled tribe.
For candidates under the physically challenged category with lower limb locomotor disability, the minimum aggregate marks required in each prescribed subject in the qualifying examination are 40% for OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DC.
